Abstract EN

This study aims at investigating the influence of written language on grammarians' view of inflectional signifiers.

The study reveals that the distribution of those signifiers on three dimensions, namely: vowels, letters, and deletion depends on writing instead of utterance.

The researcher relies on contemporary linguistics to invalidate the traditional understanding.

The study has come up with new perception in which those signifiers are classified into five categories: short and long vowels, semi vowels, reduction of vowels, syllables, and zero morpheme.

The study has concluded other important conclusions.
