Abstract EN

The present study aimed at identifying the Program for preparing school principals in the state of Ontario, Canada and the possibility of benefiting from it in the Sultanate of Oman.

The study used the descriptive method.

Also used analysis of documents in collecting data and information.

The results of the study revealed the lack of time period for the preparation of the principals in the Sultanate of Oman, the limited content on a Little number of topics, the lack of use of training experience from universities, institutes and colleges, and the lack of diversification of training methods.

The study recommended the establishment of a national qualification for the preparation of Omani school principals.

The Ministry of Education and its educational directorates are responsible for the qualification in cooperation with the Omani universities, with a duration of one academic year, and its content focuses onnational and international school management standards .
