The study aimed to know the extent of practicing the skills of effective teaching and its relation to the level of teaching competencies by teachers of Islamic education in the intermediate stage.
The study sample consisted of (80) teachers and schools, including (50) teachers and (30) schools within the Directorate of Education in Anbar province.
To implement the study, the researchers prepared the study of the questionnaire and the measure of teaching competencies.
The results of the study showed that the computation of respondents' responses to the paragraphs of the field of practicing effective teaching skills varied between (3.80-1.49).
The teacher's ability to present the lesson in an attractive and interesting manner in the mean (3.80) (5) The teacher provides moral support to students who are late in school with a mean (1.49) and a low rating.
The mean of the field as a whole reached (2.28) with an average rating.
This indicates that the degree of practicing effective teaching skills Before the teachers of Islamic education in the intermediate stage came medium .
The results also showed that there are apparent differences between the arithmetic averages of the opinions of the sample members on the degree of practicing the skills of effective teaching by the teachers of Islamic education according to gender, scientific qualifications and teaching experience, By teachers of Islamic education and the level of teaching competencies they have.
In the light of the results, the study made several recommendations and suggestions .
