Abstract EN

The objective of this study is to know the mental health of a sample of victims of the chemical bombing in the city of Halabja, and to analyze their psychological status in terms of their sense of compatibility, anxiety or depression.

Also another aim of the study is to know the impact and role of some factors in the level of mental health of the sample members.

The most important factors are social status, standard of living, scientific qualification, place of residence, and gender.

The study sample consisted of (118) people, randomly selected.

The results showed significant differences in one of the dimensions of mental health adopted in the current study due to the effect of the factors referred to respondents.

The results showed that the mental health level of the study sample was moderate.

The study recommended a package of recommendations that would alleviate the psychological suffering of the victims of chemical bombardment in the city of Halabja.

And restore their psychological balance again.
