Abstract EN

The physical impacts play an important role in the designed place of the airports as they have a significant impact on the safety of takeoffs and landings and air traffic operations as well as airport efficiency in providing services to the residents of the city and the province, so this research came to highlight the impact of physical geographical factors on the designed place of the airports, the research started from the theory that Erbil airport is subject to physical influences that affect air navigation movement in the airport.

The physical factors analyzed to be related to the characteristics of the geographical location and rock formations, shapes terrain major climate elements and the study concluded number of results notably affected air navigation within down temperatures to below zero Centennial, which limits the movement of aircraft and the cloud and heavy rain and fog leading to limit the movement of aircraft and flights stopped, some recommendations are presented which can work to help and reduce the impact of physical factors on aviation.
