Abstract EN

The tragedy of Palestine has depicted big and plentiful question marks in the Arab citizen’s mind regardless of his place of residence.

These questions have been trying to find answers until now.

The purpose of inquiry, intended in this study, is not grasping something unknown to the poet, as far as the figurative meanings it presents, and these meanings have gone beyond their significances to new rhetorical meanings.

This study addresses nine figurative meanings in two types of poetry and compares between them.

Hence, the study has revealed a distinct role for the inquiry approach in exhibiting a real picture of Palestine in these two types of poetry, and it has also stirred up the fire of resisting the occupiers of Palestine.
