Abstract EN

This study seeks to investigate the phenomenon of increasing public expenditure as an important phenomenon that has attracted the attention of economists.

Algeria, like many other countries, has witnessed a steady increase in the pace of public expenditure since its independence to this day due to its close association with the economic and political developments in Algeria during this period of time.

However, this increase in the volume of public expenditure has not always been linked to achieving greater public benefit or an increase in national output.

This period has also known in Algeria several issues related to corruption and misappropriation of public funds, as well as manifestations of waste of public funds and inefficiency in the implementation of public expenditure.

These circumstances have made rationalization of public expenditure a necessary requirement and an urgent need to achieve the goals set at the lowest possible cost or to achieve the best possible use of the amounts allocated, and this only by follows a specific methodology to present the public expenditure programs, Clearly defined in a way that is easy to measure and how much has been achieved.

The application of this method in the management and direction of government spending contributes to its prioritization in a more logical manner
