Through its goals and practices, the school represents a mainstay in teaching children the ABC of reading, writing, scientific, and ethical knowledge.

Also, education contributes to the socialization process on the customs, traditions, values, cultures, and civilizations of societies.

Throughout education, children learn the history of the past, challenges of the present, and future prospects.

Nowadays, the modern school has expanded its goals to include the training of school attendees on the ability to communicate, coexist, and accept the others; and a commitment to the values of citizenship, the defense of human rights, and strengthen the values of national unity.

Besides, school’s curricula have undertaken teaching pupils the history of their ancestors and the evolution of civilization through stories of their grandparents’ courage, bravery, knighthood, their victories, or their defeats.

In addition, these curricula recount the current status of the present rulers, their efforts in the developmental process, their prospects for a better future for the citizens, and the challenges they face.

Therefore, it has become clear that the school has a growing and important role in unifying ideas, values and trends, and strengthening the feeling of belonging to both the country and nation.

This; in fact, reinforces the trends towards homeland security, defense of the country’s unity, and strengthen its development and prosperity.

The present paper addresses the role of education in bringing up the Young on citizenship and the sense of belonging to the country/ or the homeland and to defend its unity ; for the citizen’s status, dignity, and source of pride is associated with the homeland’s unity, safety from several social and political turmoil, and economic welfare.
