Abstract EN

Following the migration to Al Medina Al Munawara, The Prophet Mohammad (May Prayer and Blessing of Allah be Upon Him), formulated a document to bind and regulate relations between the Muslims them selves both immigrants and supporters, and, however, between the Muslims and other populations the Jews and others, who were living in the city of Al Medina.

As it defined the rights and duties of those members in the community, this historic document of Al Medina represents a true, live historic example in linking between citizens at any time and in any place; It connects some of the citizens to others, or bound them to others, or to their homeland … ect.

Also, it defines their rights and duties through integration without negligence and excessive means.

Since it has been adapted for fifteen centuries, it relies as a political, legal, and ethical note for several charters and covenants that humans tried to set up in the field of human rights and duties of citizenship.

The present paper an extensive reading of the aforementioned document in trying to clarify its meanings of citizenship, since the latter has become a major concern of the countries, societies, and an address to the modern city.
