Abstract EN

What distinguishes research and models that explain the contexts of recognizing written words by the reader, while reading, is the central tendency of the English language, although it is an obscure language in terms of the depth of its spelling system.

It is; therefore, possible to say that the conclusions drawn from this language lead to the proposal of models that are unable to take into account the cognitive mechanisms and the global actions that underlie reading.

These models are not well- adapted to consider translucent alphabets; such as Arabic.

Since we refer to classical models, these showed limited and no more attention to the systems that distinguish the different languages of the world and to the weight that these systems give to information that are phonological, morphological, spelling, and semantic in nature.

In this article, we seek to present models that take into account the specialities of the Arabic spelling system in the recognition of written words.

The focus in this article is on both the Hansen (2014) model and the mandatory morphology analysis model of Boudelaa (2014)
