Small and medium enterprises have proved their ability to contribute to economic development in developed countries.

They have become the most important strategies for economic diversification.

They have characteristics that distinguish them from big institutions, the most important being the ability to innovate.

However, they suffer from several problems that prevent them from reaching their goals.

Business incubators support innovation in order to be competitive and provide support of all kinds (financial, material, human) to be an active contributor to economic development.

The aim of this study is to learn about the role of BATNA incubator institutions in promoting and strengthening the capacity of SMEs to innovate because the latter is a tool that enables enterprises to acquire a sustainable competitive advantage, survival and growth
