Abstract EN

The present paper analyzes the role of social programmes which are aired in local radio stations in reducing the risk of crimes of children kidnappings which has been apparently increasing recently in Algeria.

Accordingly, local radio stations are acting as communicators in accompanying children, together with their parents, so as to educate them not to be victims of the aforementioned crime.

The article describes the different mechanisms used by these radio programmes, and local radio of Sétif in particular, in order to raise awareness about the danger of children kidnapping.
