Abstract EN

Through this study we have treated the question of values and cultural dimensions in the context of globalization in the perspective of the American researcher and anthropologist Arjun Appadurai, whose origin is India.

In the course of this study we have treated also a range of themes among them: modernity, cultural diversity and interculturality on the basis of theory of reception in a globalized context.

In this same perspective, we have talked of this globalized context in the unprecedented shocking of cultural and dogmatic systems and also its role in creating a big dynamic which leads into fecundating many cultures around the world as well as its role in promoting attractions which produce cultural diversity in the context of globalization.

It’s always in the same context, we have pointed out the emergence of powerful movements which oppose the cultural uniformity in the name of universal values and dialogue of cultures
