This dissertation is about the masculine body as written in the novelThat Love by the Algerian author Habib Essayeh, and it focuses on the masculine personality.
it also shows the psychological complex between the main character and his body from such concepts as religion, identity and desire.
We try in this analysis to use semiotics which is a means to study signs and symbols in narrative texts.

Cet article aborde le thème de l’amour à travers l’étude du corps masculin dans roman de l’écrivain algérien Habib Sayeh.
Il passe en revue les différentes nominations du corps masculin et les différents attributs qui lui sont assignés.
Nous emprunterons pour y parvenir les vues développées par la sémiotique narrative.
