English Abstract

This paper addresses an important issue in the Field of Arabic fiction writing in general, and Algerian one in particular.

Namely, the issue of biography and fictionalisation.

We have decided to study this phenomenon in one of the novels of the Algerian novelist Wassini Laredj, The Prince.

The text of The Prince ischaracterized by dramatic and historical narrative texture which emphasized the fictionalizing and prospective thinking, merged in the process of building the narrative spirit.

Thus, wecansay that Wassini Laredj made the biography of the prince a starting point to provoke a debate on the forms of identity and belonging, makingit an obsession present in manynovels.

At the end of research ,we reachs everal conclusions after studying this aspect of the Algerian novel, and the novel of The Prince in particular.
