Abstract EN

The aim of this study was to know the wellness level, as measured by Five Factor Wellness Inventory (5F-WEL), and its relation with some variables (sex, age, education level, marital status, and work) among a sample of adult in Jordan.

The sample consisted of 479 persons invited online to participate in this study; the majority of them were married females, their mean age was (34 years), and half of them were employed For study aims, the 5F-WEL was adapted to the Jordanian version, which has acceptable reliability and validity; the value of Cronbach’s Alpha was (.94), and the split half was (.82).

Correlation factors between domains and factor was (0.91-0.38).

Factor analysis was used and items rearranged The results of this study showed that wellness level was above average, and there was significant difference on (α≤ 0.5) in wellness level based on employment; retired persons have higher level of wellness.

Also the results showed that there was significant difference on (α≤ 0.5) regarding sex, age, employment, and marital status.

The result also showed that there was difference in essential self level between male and female in favor of females, and in physical self and coping self levels regarding age in favor of 35-45 years old persons.

Also retired persons had higher level in physical self and creative self levels.

Married had highest level in social self, while singles had higher level in coping self.

The result indicated that there was no significant difference regarding education level
