The purpose of this research is to show the extent of which the Arabic language schoolbook for the fifth year of primary school 2008-2009 edition is in adequation with the requirements of the curriculum.

and we have based to do this research on the analytical descriptive approach The schoolbook has been evaluated through the application of the pedagogical aspect of the evaluation grid elaborate by the Accreditation and Certification Committee of the National Institute for Research in Education.

And it was concluded that the book does not conform to most aspect of the curriculum and book of conditions and there is an urgent need to review all these standards in accordance with these documents
