Abstract EN

This study aims to demonstrate the impact of life satisfaction on the degree of self-efficacy belief depression and psychological loneliness among a sample of people with visual disabilities in Kuwait using the descriptive approach.

The tools of the study included: a list of initial data, a life-satisfaction questionnaire, a self-efficacy belief questionnaire and the Beck Depression Inventory for measuring depression and psychological loneliness.

The sample consisted of 100 Kuwaiti people with visual disabilities (56 males and 44 females) with an average of 32.04 years and a deviation standard of 5.3 ±.

The most important results included: (1) significant differences between males and females with visual disabilities in relation to self-efficacy belief and depression where females scored higher than males, and insignificant differences between the two groups in relation to life-satisfaction and the feeling of psychological loneliness.

(2) Life-satisfaction, self-efficacy belief depression and the feeling of psychological loneliness vary according to age, educational level, as well as social and professional status in the study sample.
