Nowadays, scientific translation plays a crucial role in scientific culture.

Hence, no product can leave a laboratory or factory, and no scientist can be famous without writing in different languages.

As it will be read and known all over the world, the language, either the source or the target, will be improved and get new terminology.

Owing to continuous advances in science and technology, scientific terminology would also prosper and gain much more importance in scientific translation.

This study aims at highlighting the importance of the simplified terminology in scientific knowledge development and spreading, and discussing its role in translating popular science texts.

It also aims at illuminating the techniques of simplification for the lay audience.

It provides an important methodology to simplify the scientific terms used while translating popular science texts.
