InThis research paper, they are talking about « the concept of citizenship » and all the thoughts that are related to it like right, equality, freedom and democracy in contemporary Western philosophical and political thought.

In this education,They concentrate on the analysising and illustrating the concept of citizenship by the German philosopher Jürgen Habermas, who is the first in this philosophical field, beside the American philosopher « John Rawls »,the two philosopher are influenced by the intellectual, political and social environment of their time, and engaged each in his own way in the philosophical debate about Citizenship, right and freedom.

Rawls was engaged in the formulation and elaboration of a moral political project entitled "Justice", a project that falls within the philosophical framework of the American philosophical tradition known as "pragmatism".

From the political and social point of view this project reflects the problem of social justice suffered by American society, He engaged in the formulation and elaboration of a social political project entitled "Communication", a philosophical project that falls within the framework of the German philosophical tradition known as the "critical theory", and politically and socially reflect this project on the political context of Germany after the Second World War.
