Abstract EN

The position of Islam vis-a-vis Arabic poetry was not to eradicate it totally, but authorised the poetry that uphold the values of the religion, and played an important social role that fostered the individuals’ religious beliefs and belongings to Islam.

The latter played a crucial role to shape the frame work of the poets in terms of creativity, criticism as well as determining the poetry values that should not contradict with his own moral values.
