Abstract EN

This study aims to show and measure the impact of trade openness on the performances of small and medium-sized factories in Algeria during the period (2000-2014), using: the total added value of this sector as an indicator of the performance and also the total of exports and imports to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ratio as an indicator of the trade openness.

This study has been based especially on the statistical econometric analysis software (EViews) to apply the statistical and econometric methods, and also evaluate the econometric model by its final version.

We adopted on the data of small and medium-sized factories ministry to compose the variables of the model.

The study found that the trade openness indicator has a positive effect on the evolution of the small and medium-sized factories performances in Algeria.
