Abstract EN

This study investigates the manifestations and causes of riots in the Jordanian stadiums.

For this purpose the Researchers developed a fivevariable questionnaire involving the psychological, the educational, the social, the economic and the media causes.

The Study involved a randomly chosen sample of ( 356 ):fans , athletes and academics , teachers , administrators and educators , sports judges , and players.

The study showed that the following factors are among the causes of sports riots: - Stress, anxiety and excessive nervousness, - Lack of family role in educating children about the rightful practices of sports, - Abusive and provocative words uttered by fans of competing teams ignite riots leading to vandalism.

Finally, the study showed that football comes at the top of the sports witnessing riots.

In light of these finding, the Researchers recommends the following: - It is imperative that the media carry out a constant educational awareness programs pertaining to the hazards of the sport riots and their negative consequences.

- Implementing strict laws to prevent committing unethical practices or vandalism caused by Stadium Hooliganism
