The legal framework plays an important and crucial role in bringing those investments, and in the case of Algeria the legal texts Organizing the foreign direct investment witnessed, a major development especially in the period (2000-2015) but the volume of investment inflows remained below the desired level given the legal incentives.

This paper seeks to highlight the legal environment for foreign direct investment and assess its most prominent features in an attempt to assess the impact on attracting investment and deduce barriers inhibiting it and necessary solutions.
