Contracts see changes with the advancement of science and technology: contracting theories started to take on new forms and terms.

The current study deals elaborately with contracts through setting their types, options, and legal characterization.

It moreover throws the spotlight on the attitudes of Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh) on full and incomplete ownership contracts, and draws a distinction between them.

Study also draws a comparison between Islamic Jurisprudence and UAE Law with a view to identifying how compatible is the latter with Islamic Sharia Law.

Study's importance lies in its endeavor to clear up the ambiguity around contracts and highlight key contractual conditions.

Contract options, its components, legal and jurisprudential characterization are all covered by the current study.

Study, furthermore, provides a linguistic, terminological and conceptual definition for contract.
