The election of the president of the republic is an important topic in the field of constitutional law in general , through the provisions of the constitution of the republic of Iraq in particular in 2005 , as head of State and represents the country and shall ensure strict compliance this constitution for preserving independence of Iraq and sovereignty , unity and safety of land as well inasmuch played by the president of the republic from the role of constitution life of the State, depending on his election invitation the new council of representatives to convene for first meeting through fifteen days from the date of validation in the results of the general elections (which formation of the legislative authority) .
