العمل العقابي كأسلوب من أساليب المعاملة العقابية في التشريع الجزائري

Abstract EN

If , in the past, the work entrusted to the prisoners of the penal institutions was considered as an additional sentence to the penalty of liberty deprivation which has the objective of persecution and torture as well as a man of cruelty to prisoners today and in the context of the modern penal policy which gives a huge importance to the execution of liberty deprivation penalty, it is considered as a method of penitentiary treatment aims to the prisoners rehabilitation alongside the other treatment such as the education, the health care and social welfare which the prisoners could enjoy within the penal institutions.

In common with its counterparts, the Algerian legislator has granted a great importance to the penal work and has accompanied the development of modern penal policy concerning the prisoners treatment, aimed at their rehabilitation and social reintegration, pursuant to the provisions of the law 05/04 dated on 06th February 2005, including the law of penal institutions organisation and the social reintegration of prisoners.
