Abstract EN

During the French colonial period, the Algerian individual witnessed a period hardships, tasted the bitterness of poverty and deprivation.

The French colonist was different all other colonists, because it sought to separate the Algerian population from its Algerian and Arab identity, as well as alter its independent character to remain dependent of its overseas colonist.

The enemy was prevented from achieving his dreams by men determined to address him with the language of warfare.

The enemy implemented all sorts of measures from torture to genocide but failed with heroes of Arabism who fought battles as dictated by the Islamic religion.

During this period, the poet of the Revolution, Mufdi Zakarya witnessed and recorded the events of the war to remain as a reminder to sensed people, and an impregnable fortress for the oblivious.

His poetry describes the traits of the martyr’s bravery and loyalty, his love of the motherland, as well as other noble values that led to these victories.
