one of those symbols is the national currency (Dinar).

This currency is used by the citizen of this country to buy and sell their goods (local trade/ domestic market).When the buying and selling cross the borders and become between two countries.

The two parties need to establish an exchange price between their currencies.

The price to exchange one currency to the other.

Once the exchange rate ( price) is established can those countries starts their export and import of goods from each other.

For that reason the exchange rate (price) between two currencies are important to integrate the domestic market with the global (international) market.
