Abstract EN

This paper adopts a critical, analytical, and interpretive approach to the origins and reality of the experience of the great Arab poet Abd al-Wahhab al-Bayati during his residence in Spain, which lasted for ten years, and resulted in one poetry collection, Aisha’s Orchard (Bustan Aisha).

The researcher confirms al-Bayati’s loyalty, similar to other great Arab poets, to the effectiveness of "nostalgia maintenance," which is demonstrated in al-Bayati through the attraction to the first place, Baghdad, as the center of childhood dreams, and to the first love, Aisha, as the center of the beautiful time imagination.
