Abstract EN

This study aims to causal relationship between unemployment rate analysis (UN) and the rate of inflation (INF) in Algeria during the period (1970 - 2015) in the short term and the long, for it was the use of standard methods of modern test the stability of the time series and cointegration, The error correction model and Granger causality.

The study found that the rate of unemployment (UN) and the rate of inflation (INF) on a common complementary relationship, and that there is a causal relationship of short and long-term trending the rate of inflation (INF) to the unemployment rate (UN), as an increase in the rate of inflation (INF) that: 1% lead to a decline in the unemployment rate (UN) that: 0.05%, which means that low inflation lead to increased unemployment in Algeria during the study period.
