Abstract EN

The study tries to investigate the substantial differences and similarities between stylistics and rhetoric and identify their characteristics.

Afterwards, it clarifies the features and limits of the stylistic and rhetorical processes and comparing each one of them with literature.

It also notices that there are some differences between the stylistics and rhetoric which is reflected in the procedural treatment of each one of them.

These differences can be listed in five areas: the concept and subject, marks and limits, vision and approach, text, and creative.

Nevertheless, there are areas of agreement and coherence which can also be listed in five areas: language of literature, various forms of articulating the same speech, convincing and enjoyment, textual cohesion, and care about recipient.

Lastly, the study tackles some text types and tries to analyze them rhetorically and stylistically, excluding this to two rhetorical forms: the simile and the metaphor.

It notices their merging with the stylistic deviation and how they benefited of some modern linguistic qualities.
