Abstract EN

This study aimed at determining the relationship between the grades of the student teacher in the practical training courses and the average of his grades in the educational academic courses at Al Quds Open University/Nablus Region.

The sample of the study consisted of (107) students, among them (13) male student teachers and (94) female student teachers distributed on (6) academic specializations.

The researcher used an evaluation form to evaluate trainees.

This form is used in Al Quds Open University to evaluate the achievement of students who are enrolled in the practical course.

The processes of validity and reliability were conducted and showed a total reliability coefficient of (0.84) by using the formula of Cronbach Alpha.

The researcher also made use of the student teachers' grades records which were obtained from the registration department at Al Quds Open University / Nablus Region and Tubas Center.

The important results of the study were as it follows : 1.

There is no significant relationship between the grades of the student teacher in the practical training course and his / her grades in the academic courses, as the correlation coefficient was(,204).

There is no significant relationship between the grades of the student teacher in the practical course and the average of his / her grades in the teaching method courses.

3.

There is no significant relationship between the grades of the student teacher in the practical course and the overall grade average, as the correlation coefficient was (0,196) 4.

There is no significant relationship between the grades of the teacher student in the practical course and the courses of methods and general training.

5.

There are no significant differences in the practical course, as due to gender.

6.

There are significant differences in the achievement of the student teachers in the practical course as due to the specialization of the student teacher and in favor to the English language field of study.

7.

There are significant differences in the student teachers' averages in the educational academic courses as due to the aspect of the student's specialization and in favor to Arabic language, English language, religion (Islamic study), elementary education program and mathematics.
