Abstract EN

Nowadays, the phenomenon of unemployment has become one of the main problems that face most of Arab countries of their different development levels and their economic, social and political systems.

Perhaps the worst and the most prominent mark of the Economic Crisis that Arab and developing countries are facing is the growing of unemployment i.e.

increasing demand level for labor in a faster pace than supply growth resulting a rise in the unemployment levels, especially the one of the young graduates, accompanied with pests and social pressures that may threaten social stability as well as resulting waste of energies, the flight of competencies and the decline in economic growth.

Algeria, like other Arab countries, is suffering this crisis especially that the structural causes of unemployment in Algeria are linked to economic growth pattern that is based on the exploitation of natural resources in the labor force characteristics in which still the youth and graduates percentage is rising.

To counter this situation, series of actions and measures have been adopted and a number of mechanisms has been established, together they constitute employment support policies.

In order to meet the aspects of the topic, we tried to expose to the most important actions and measures adopted by the Algerian government in the field of employment and what it has reached.

Finally, some recommendations will be listed for the sake of supporting a stable employment and achieving a sustainable development.
