Venture capital financing is a method with a particular focus on SMEs, which do not have access to banking or financial markets, due to the high risks and the lack of resources.

This method is currently widespread in many countries around the world as it helps to sustain economic growth, especially in providing entrepreneurs with the funding required to turn their ideas into reality.

Algeria like other countries, has adopted and codified this method of financing, and created specialized institutions in this field.

This paper aims to review the concept of venture capital, its application and future in Algeria The use of venture capital method in Algeria is still modest and does not correspond to the true purposes for which this method was established due to several reasons, the most important is the delay of the legal framework organizing the activity, entrepreneurs lack of knowledge about the existence of such a method and the fear of venture capital institutions to engage in high-risk projects, although they are created to fulfill this particular purpose, this is the kind of contradiction that loses the function of this method in Algeria.
