Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to present the insurances people in her theoretical vision on a side, and the market of this kind of insurances in Algeria on another side.

The market of the insurances people is divided into two; obligatory official insurances, managed by the funds of the Social Security, and commercial insurances, managed by the insurance companies specialized in the insurances people.

The insurances people cover the individuals against the risks related to their bodies such as, the diseases and the personal injuries, and the risks related to their life, and this, for one period determined in the contract of insurance.

In Algeria, the market of the insurances of people is characterized, in general, by a continuous evolution, which is due, mainly, with exogenous variables at the insurance companies, such as: change in demand, and no caused by the change in the supply, through launching the new insurances products sweet with insured needs.

Therefore, we can say that there is a quantitative and not qualitative evolution, because that during the period of the study, the government took decisions concerning the payment of salaries rises with retroactive effect, what increased the volume of the demand of this kind of insurances, and not the change in the supply of the insurance peoples products
