The investment portfolio is considered as a development to the investment science and it Came for meeting the needs of investors who think about the investment in stock exchanging as the first line of defense to prevent against the potential risks, and the fundamental basic is the one that is built on the portfolio theory when so ever the greater the degree of diversification with in the portfolio , the less me potential risks by the investor , and the portfolio must take to consideration the return and me assets risks that figure the portfolio and put in count me relationship’s degree between the assets .

Like the rest of the countries, the Arab countries including Saudi Arabia, it resorts to the formation of the investment portfolios as a new method.

the investment field and the objection from the formation is to reduce the risks that face the investor, the Financial assets, this is through the diversification in the figured assets .

Through this research paper, we will try to study the role of diversification reducing the investment portfolios risks with applying on some of the existing Saudi Financial market.
