Abstract EN

Exports diversification policies are considered as one of the most important challenges that the economy of oil countries is facing.

These countries rely on a depleted economic resource whose prices and exports are effected by the development of foreign oil markets; which negatively affected their development path.

Economic development represents one of the major economic concerns which can be achieved only by expanding the network of resources of the public revenues, and by diversifying the exports outside the hydrocarbons sector; this is why oil countries, including Algeria, have to diversify their economies.

When tracking the developments of the Algerian economy, the dominance of the hydrocarbons sector and the reliance on its revenues is noted.

In order to get out of this dependency and make the Algerian economy more diversified, it is required to promote promising sectors and orient them towards exportation; whether industrial, agricultural or tourism
