Abstract EN

This research aims at studying the impact of the silence of permanent employees in the Company of Potable Water and Sewage at Menoufia Governorate on the organizational memory of the company, and determining how to reduce the silence level of workers to the lowest possible level.

This could produce a positive impact on the company’s performance, improve the level of its organizational memory, and strengthen its competitive advantage.

In order to achieve these objectives, a descriptive inductive approach has been adopted.

A questionnaire was developed to collect the required data from the stratified random sample which included 585 individuals.

The number of distributed questionnaires was 607, out of which 422 were completed and returned; representing 72% of the sample size.

The SPSS package was used for analyzing data and testing research hypotheses.

The study showed a number of results, the most important of which were the existence of a negative effect of the level of silence of permanent employees on the organizational memory and variables of the Company of Potable Water and Sewage at Menoufia Governorate.

At the end, the researcher presented a number of recommendations, the imprtant ones of which were: organizing training courses and workshops for the company’s employees to consolidate the role and importance of effective communication channels in achieving company objectives, as well as increasing employees’ skills for the effective supervision of others
