Abstract EN

The study begins with a foreword through which the researcher explains the meaning of the rules of interpretation and offers a brief biography of Sheikh Abdurrahman Habannakeh.

The study then looks into the rules that pave the way for the interpretive process, including the examination of the context and place of the revelation and its characteristics.

It is worth noting that Sheikh Abdurrahman had chosen the method of objective exegesis as a basis for Qur’anic interpretation.

His method consists in relating the Qur’anic sentence to the subject of the Surat and to the rest of the Quran.

On the other hand, the interpreter or exegete has to observe the grammatical and morphological rules of Arabic and has to understand the Qur’anic verse according to the order of its syntactic composition.

The process of interpretation ends with a weighting between: (1) the meanings obtained by the interpreter through the analysis of synonyms and the choice of the most probable denotation, and (2) consideration of inclusive meanings as much as possible.

The researcher suggests a clear method for the handling of scientific theories when interpreting Qur’anic verses.

She also discusses some of Sheikh Abdurrahman’s special views and supports her ideas with examples showing the value of the rules of interpretation derived from his book and the value of what he had offered to the interpreter and the commentator.
