Abstract EN

Islamic religion has considered the state as part of its system.

Islam founded the structure of the state on a set of fundamental tenets from which the ruling method is inspired.

Among these tenets is the principle of justice and equality.

Justice is the basis of sovereignty; it is the principle by which states are sustained and its product is equality.

Justice and equality are among the essentials that all religions came with and all political systems claimed.

Islamic political system, however, stands out as distinguished by reinforcing these two principles in all aspects of life.

This paper aims at discussing the origins of the two principles and drawing on their definitions, types, status and outcomes.

It also seeks to discuss some obstacles to equality and to explain the truth about careers and positions that people undertake, and how they are assigned such responsibilities under the conditions of capability and integrity rather than as a result of an acclaimed right.

This principle is applied to a modern case in point, the speech of the ruler of Sharjah, His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, to give a living example of the fair Islamic State and the modern Muslim ruler.

This example also illustrates the passage from the theoretical to the practical aspect of governing on the basis of Islamic politics
