Abstract EN

This study deals with the subject of criminal protection of children from pornography resulting from the use of electronic devices.

Criminals have used information technology to entrap children who use such technology, with the aim of getting them involved in pornographic works.

What helped in the outspread of this phenomenon is the fact that it is easy to commit this crime from a remote distance and that it brings a lot of money to criminals who traffic in digital child pornography.

Moreover, this study explains the concept of digital child pornography and sexual exploitation, as well as the magnitude of this phenomenon and the most significant methods used to seduce children.

The study also draws on the Jordanian legislator’s plan in handling these crimes through the Cybercrimes Act No 27 of 2015.

To this is added a review of the attitudes of some foreign and Arab legislators regarding the criminalization of child pornography.
