The study seeks to analyze the impact of the crude oil prices on the public budget in Algeria during the period 2000-2016.
In this sense, the oil prices witnessed from the beginning of the millennium hard fluctuations, the fact that exercises its evident influences on the public budget in Algeria.
What heightened the situation is that Algeria depends exclusively on the oil revenues to cover its expenditures.
This study concluded that the public budget in Algeria recorded a remarkable deficit during the period of investigation even with the augmentation of the oil prices.
This situation is due to expansionary expenditure policy adopted by Algeria based on the oil price reference
