Abstract EN

This study aims to revive the approach of elaboration in the indications and connotations of names in the light of the hermeneutical method.

This method represents one of the old methods for identifying the elaborated connotation of names and their implications employed in traditional literary criticism, and it foregrounds the interest in associating the opening of the poem to its focal theme by the elaborating the different connotations and implication of women’s name highlighted in the poem.

Taking Al-A'sha’s presumed beloved "Hurayrah", who was Bishr ibn Amr ibn al-Marthad black servant; I argue here that she was a pseudonym and fictitious character.
