Abstract EN

The present research deals with an important aspect of the Andalusian history, namely the relationship between the two authorities of religion and politics.

It appears through this study that the Andalusian princes and caliphs were able, to some extent, to achieve a kind of balance in their relationship with the clerics to protect the status of the state and manage its private affairs in relation to administrative aspects.

The clerics made a social stratum which has a heavy weight and impact on the public because they have a spiritual status among Muslims.

That's why the princes and Caliphs were keen to satisfy them and gain their support without harming the security of the state and its political regime.
