Abstract EN

The significant reduction in the rate of fertility during the past three decades in many developing countries was the result of many efforts exerted in changing economic and social status through which the behavior of the population has been affected.

The aim of this research is to show the mutual relationship between reproductive health and the development process indicating the concept of reproductive health and its services and the resultant effects of the wrong practices which are caused by the lack in services provision which demonstrates the family planning impact upon maternal ,child, family, society care and consequent development.

This research has exposed the reproductive health and family planning in Syria, and its reflections on the development process through the resultant effects on high population growth which, in turn, reflects the age structure of population, per capita income, increasing the supply of labor forces, and the demand for public services and savings.

Finally, the research concluded with a series of recommendations on reproductive health, concerning it as being significant and necessity to provide services to the entire population.
