Abstract EN

This research analyzes the poem on Hunting by Abou Firas Al Hamadani from two perspectives : the aesthetic view point and the thematic one.

The study of the thematic structure of the hunting poem explains how the poet showed everything in the world of hunting and its various components, so he took us to the hunting land, and showed us the beauty of nature in its richness.

He introduced us to the methods of hunting and chasing, and to the different predators, and what usually took place between them like chasing and struggle, ending in enjoyment as a result.

The poet also showed us group hunting trips that he went to with his friends for fun and entertainment, so we could see new characteristics which we did not know about Abou Firas, and he seemed to be a professional hunter, and a cheerful man who liked fun and laughter, but at the same time, he was still the powerful knight prince.

From the aesthetic view point it was clear to us that the poet was creative in the art of hunting poems, which he developed till it reached its peak.

This poem is an ideal model for this art because it is comprehensive, and perfect in language and style.

It is an artistic piece, very harmonious in style and intellect.
