This research examines the negative results of population growth increase in Daraa city through using a lot of quantifications and demographic indicators to describe causes and effects of population average increase, such as increase in birth rate, or decrease in mortality rate.

The paper looks at the negative results of this increase and the inability to meet people's needs because of many factors like: the increase in demand on water, decrease in per capita space of farmland, demographic imbalances in the governorate, and decline in first and second economic activities which are essential in the city as productive professions, while other less important intermediary service sector professions take over..
