Abstract EN

This research aims at knowing the formal and technical features of Syrian periodicals, and finding out the degree to which the periodicals follow the standards adopted by international organization for standardization (ISO) as well as the Arab league Educational, cultural and Scientific organization (ALECSO).

The results show that the degree to which the Syrian periodicals follow the specifications and standards is low and substandard .

However, the results also show that the periodicals of universities in Syria follow the specifications more than most other institutions.

The research recommends the necessity of following the specifications and standards by ministries, universities, institutes and other foundations and organizations that export Syrian periodicals.
