The European countries intensified its pressure over Morocco so as to impose their authority, mainly in the economic domain.

They even Tried to attach it to the capitalist system.

In the mid of these circumstances, Spain tried to benefit from this situation in order to assure its foothold in the northern coast of Morrocco, pretending that, by its historical rights, especially after its retrogression in Latin America.

For this reason, the higher authorities in Madrid tried to boost its imperialist ideology to compte with the rest of the imperialist powers.
